Funeral services for Jere Ray Padon, 75, of Keene, Texas, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mr. Padon passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Pie Town, N.M. on Sept. 7, 1935, the son of Temple (Findley) and Raymond Padon. Jere served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired truck driver.
He married Zela Killion on Sept. 7, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas. Jere was a member of Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. He loved to be in his garden and was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jere will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jere Padon is survived by his wife, Zela Padon; sons, Ed Padon and wife, Melanie, all of Keene; daughter, Kathy Domeny of Joshua; grandchildren, Ali Domeny of Joshua and Valerie Padon of Keene; and sister, Betty Firestone and husband, Johnnie, of Portales, N.M.
Memorials may be made to 3ABN Ministries or to Kenneth Cox Ministries.
