GRANBURY — Dorothy East, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Granbury.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Granbury Church of Christ. Burial: Acton Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born March 4, 1921, in Venus, Texas, to Marvin B. Davis and Alice Anjanette Mahannay Davis.

She married Carl Wilburn East Jr. on Dec. 22, 1950, in Fort Worth. She had been a member of Granbury Church of Christ since 1955.

Dorothy loved her grandchildren and supported them in all their events. She enjoyed gardening, watching birds and working in the yard.

Preceding her in death were her son, H.I. “Carl” East; sister, June Scott; mother, Anjanette Rodgers; father, Marvin Davis; and granddaughter, Delisa Lewis.

Survivors: husband, Carl W. East Jr.; children and spouses, Anjanetta and Etton Ables, Jerry and Gayle East, Loretta and Lawrence Offutt and Teressa and Joe Henderson; grandchildren, Dene Ables Carter, Stephen Ables, Stacy Ables, Kara Watson, Rusty East, Christy Hyde, Amy Flippin, Gena Gilliam, Dana Lewis, Lauren Lewis, George Henderson and Heather Henderson; and 17 great-grandchildren.
