Memorial services for Bernice Brand Hollingsworth, 89, of Carrollton, formerly of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Joe Stephens will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday.

Bernice Hollingsworth passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in Carrollton. She was born July 28, 1922, in Grandview to Thomas Edward Sr. and Florrie Estell Fitts Brand. She married Paul Hollingsworth on Dec. 19, 1947, in Cleburne.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was a secretary for various offices over 20 years for the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Field Street Baptist Church.

Bernice is survived by daughter, Paula Fowler and husband, Max, of Carrollton; son, Hal Hollingsworth and wife, Connie, of Lockhart; four grandchildren, Jeff Hollingsworth of Elizabeth City, N.C., Jennifer May of Chandler, Ariz., Julie Hollingsworth of Houston and Brett Fowler of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Katie, Kyle, Taylor and Tatum.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Hollingsworth, on March 14, 2011; six brothers, David, Spencer, Tommy Jr., James, George and Clint Brand; two sisters, Betty Meador and Minnie Clifton.
