Services for Adelle Rasmussen, 82, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Payne will officiate. Pallbearers will be Blake Rasmussen, Bradley Rasmussen, Mason Keele, Danny Buchanan, Jason Murphy and David Lockridge. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.
Ms. Rasmussen passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at her home in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Coleman County, Texas, to Luther and Dora Crutcher.
Adelle retired after serving for 38 years as an executive secretary for the surgical department at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth. She was a fun, loving, caring, and sweet lady who enjoyed meeting people and had many special friends. Once she met a new face, she never forgot a name. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Robert Rasmussen and wife, Sara, of Cleburne; daughter, Deborah Buchanan of New Boston; grandchildren, Stephanie Cook, Danny Buchanan, Blake Rasmussen and Bradley Rasmussen; great-grandsons, Cody and Alex Self; sisters, Maxine Haney of Cleburne and Borgia Lockridge and husband, Jim, of Tyler, Texas, and Leif Rasmussen; and four nieces, two nephews and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alene Suttle; and niece, Deana Spiller.
