Services for Jadie Wheeler, 94, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Amos Long will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenacres Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Buchanan, Rodney Jones, Larry Sparks, Gary Sparks, David Welter and Ace Martin.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wheeler passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Brown County, Texas, to William Jefferson and Mary Edna Jones Cox. She married Clarence ODell Wheeler on Nov. 9, 1937, in May, Texas. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1981. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of I-35 Church of Christ in Alvarado. She was an avid bowler and bowled until 2012 with the Golden Oldies Bowling League.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by four children, Carol Buchanan and husband, Fred, of Milsap, Rhonda Jones and husband, Donnie, of Cleburne, Lana Sparks and husband, Weldon, of Hughes Springs, Texas; and Jimmy Wheeler of Covington; one sister, Iris Dean Meskimen of Corsicana; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Albert Cox; and grandson, Ronald Dale Jones.
