Robert Shawn Smelley

 

Services for Robert Shawn Smelley, 41, of Godley will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, in the First Baptist Church of Godley. The Rev. Kenneth Coleman and the Rev. Kyle Livingston will officiate.

Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Massey, Ronnie West, Keith Pruitt, Robby Hamm, Larry Abbott and Steve McLaughlin.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Robert Shawn Smelley passed away Monday, March 15, 2010, in Godley. He was born March 15, 1969, in Cleburne to Ben William and Elizabeth Diane Kyle Smelley.

Shawn graduated from Godley High School in 1987. In school, he enjoyed sports, FFA and rodeo. He also enjoyed collecting antiques. He was a truck driver and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Shawn is survived by his parents, Ben and Diane Smelley, and one brother, Aaron Smelley, all of Godley. He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
