Mike Peikoff was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Irving, Texas, to Nick N. Peikoff and Julia Rusnack. He was a resident of Midlothian in his early years.
Mike went into the service on March 2, 1945. He was stationed in the Philippines during World War II. When he got out, he moved to Alvarado, Texas.
He met Mary L. Johnston, who he married in Weatherford, Texas, in 1955. Mike had three children, Mike Jr., Brenda L. and Milton L. Mike was a lifelong farmer and rancher.
Mike was preceded in death by son, Mike Peikoff Jr.; father, Nick N. Peikoff; mother, Julia Peikoff; brothers, Bill N., John G., Paul J. and Tommy L.; and sister, Edna M. Brumbelo.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary L. Peikoff; daughter, Brenda; son, Milton and wife, Becky; two grandchildren, Millie and Michael Peikoff, all of Alvarado; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Graveside services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Pleasant Point Cemetery.
