Services for O.P. Watson, 86, of Blum will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Sam Houston will officiate. Burial will follow in Blanton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Watson, Jason Petersen, Kevin Clark, Dan Brunson, Billy Ray Watson and Ray Blackman.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Watson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Blum. He was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Hill County to Phil and Etta Watson. He married Wanda Jeane Alford on July 31, 1948, in Blum.
Mr. Watson served in the United States Army. He was a farmer and retired in 1986 from the Santa Fe Railroad. O.P. was a member of Woodrow Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jeane Watson; sons, Charles Ray Watson and wife, Jean, Tommy Watson and wife, Jimmie Sue, and Ronnie Watson and wife, Mary Kay; daughter, Lois Jean Kuehler; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Etta Watson; three brothers, Lowell, P.J. and Joe Watson; and three sisters, Mary Conner, Ruth Wray and Pat Roye.
