William Andrew King Jr.
William Andrew King Jr. passed away Nov. 23, 2007. He is the son of William A. King, Sr. and Jewel Clowdus King, born in Alvarado on Aug. 26, 1923.
He was a retired MKT railroad dispatcher and served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a P.O.W. in Germany. He was married to Amye Ruth James for 38 years, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 1984.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home.
Memorials may be sent to Community Hospice of Texas, 1208 Henderson St., Cleburne, TX 76033.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Stokley King; children, Ralph and Marla King, and Linda and John Bailey; stepchildren, Debbie and Jerry Tate, Charles and Jan Felts, Curtis and Janice Felts, and Clifton and Becky Felts; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren; three brothers-in-law and their wives; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and his parents.
