The Cleburne Police Department is investigating extensive damage done to the dome over the pool at Splash Station.

According to a press release from the city of Cleburne, the damage occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 5:35 a.m. Thursday.

Cleburne Mayor Scott Cain said he hopes someone with information about the destruction will come forward.

“It is upsetting that someone would have such little regard for this community that they would see fit to cause damage to our facilities,” he said. “There is not only a cost in terms of tax payer dollars, but also the potential loss to our citizens and swim teams to use the pool during the winter months.”

Information about potential suspects can be reported to CPD at 817-645-0972 or the Johnson County Crime Stoppers at 817-641-8477.

Keene Police Detective Lt. Chip Krieger, who is a coordinator for the Johnson County Crime Stoppers, said tips are always 100 percent anonymous.

“You may also submit your tip by text message or Internet tips 24 hours a day,” he said. “You do not need to give your name and you may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.”
