JP gets to work day after Labor Day

Bond was set at $17,500 Tuesday morning for a 40-year-old Burleson male held in Johnson County Law Enforcement Center.

Dwayne Wachel was magistrated by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Ronny McBroom on charges of assault family violence with previous conviction and interfering with an emergency phone call.

In other cases, Brandon Stafford, 20, of Cleburne was charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance 1 to 4 grams. Bond was set at $20,000 with additional conditions to report to adult probation for weekly drug testing.

Jason Smith, 31, of Alvarado was charged with DWI second, $2,000 bond and interlock device.

Luther Witte Jr., 37, of Alvarado was charged with DWI first and evading arrest on foot, total $2,500 bond.

Matthew Raper, 22, of Paris was charged with theft $50 to $500, $1,000 bond.

Steven Langrum, 44, of Dallas was charged with theft $1,500 to $20,000, $30,000 bond.

Wiley Mitchell, 56, of Joshua was charged with DWI first, $1,000 bond.

Ronald Johnson, 50, of Alvarado was charged with public intoxication ($50 fine or $400 bond) and held on five Fort Worth warrants for loitering.

Jean Lue Leal, 20, of Alvarado was charged with minor in possession of alcohol, $400 fine or bond.

Jason Ramirez, 36, of Alvarado, was charged with DWI with open container, $5,000 bond.

Billy Palmer, 38, of Bosque County was charged with resisting arrest, evading arrest and failure to identify.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two males last week in connection with unrelated assaults in Grandview and Cleburne.

On Quail Trail in Grandview on Saturday, Dustin Malcom Earl was charged with assault causes bodily injury family violence for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

On CR 801-B in Cleburne last Wednesday, Ronald Roberto Alegria was charged with assault causes bodily injury family violence for allegedly assaulting his wife.

Deputies were investigating a number of other assaults and burglaries last week.

On CR 14 Monday, complainant said his ex-wife and her new boyfriend pulled up next to complainant’s vehicle and the two parties exchanged words.

On CR 80 in Burleson on Sunday, actor allegedly pushed complainant during argument.

On CR 803 on Monday in an alleged family dispute, a brother is suspected of pushing his sister into a door, causing her to hurt her elbow.

On Woodbine in Burleson on Monday, the suspect allegedly exhibited a deadly weapon while making threats to kill victim.

On CR 108-B in Venus on Sunday, the suspect allegedly threw items at the victim, making unwanted contact.

On Birch Lane in Burleson on Sunday, a husband allegedly pushed wife.

On Farm-to-Market Road 1902 in Joshua on Sunday, the complainant was allegedly punched in the face.

On South Drive in Venus on Sunday, actor allegedly choked victim with hand.

On Alvarado Oaks in Alvarado on Saturday, the actor allegedly caused bodily injury and impaired breathing.

On CR 1239 in Cleburne on Saturday, suspect allegedly made sexual contact with the victim against his will.

On Oak in Burleson on Thursday, complainant’s wrist was allegedly grabbed by husband.

On FM Road 917 in Godley on Sunday, an unknown actor entered a residence without permission and took $250 in currency.

On CR 1117 in Cleburne on Saturday, an unknown person entered residence and removed items that included a Mosberg 12-gauge rifle valued at $200. a .22-caliber semi automatic rifle valued at $100, antique bolt-action shotgun valued at $500, a BB gun with scope valued at $80, two Garcia fishing reels valued at $140 and three Fenwich fishing reels valued at $150.

    The 2011 Lone Star Chrysler Dodge Jeep Autoplex All-Johnson-County football team has been announced. The team was chosen by the Times-Review sports department based on all-district selections and coaches’ nominations.
    The first-team offense included Alvarado quarterback Kenny West and Burleson quarterback Barrett Cain.

    The 2011 Lone Star Chrysler Dodge Jeep Autoplex All-Johnson-County football team has been announced. The team was chosen by the Times-Review sports department based on all-district selections and coaches’ nominations.
    The second-team offense was led by Cleburne’s Quade Coward and Godley’s Rhett Brawner as the second-team quarterbacks.

Fallen deputy Clifton Taylor’s sister, Megan Davis, takes a picture of a painting of her brother on Monday during a dedication to the deputy. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office renamed its building to the Clifton Taylor Law Enforcement Center in honor of the deputy who lost his life during a disturbance call in April. The picture was painted by Fort Worth artist Gary Crouch. Three pictures were made and one will hang in the Clifton Taylor Law Enforcement Center. The other two paintings were presented as gifts to Taylor’s parents and his fiancee.
