Huguley welcomes first newborn of 2013

At 9:12 p.m. Jan. 1, Huguley Memorial Medical Center welcomed Ethan Maximus Vanderpool, the first baby born in Johnson County this year. Dr. Richard Ondrizek delivered the 7 pound, 7.6 ounce baby boy of Malcom and JoAnn Vanderpool. Ethan joins brother Eiyene and sister Arieannah at their home in Cleburne. “Each baby is a celebration of the gift of life, and having the first baby of the year adds even more excitement to the joyous occasion. What a great way to start out the New Year,” said Ann Siden, R.N., director of Women’s Services. The Vanderpool family received a gift basket donated by the Huguley Volunteer Auxiliary for the New Year’s baby. It includes stuffed animals, clothing items, a photo album and frame, blanket, toys, diapers and personal care items. National Bank of Texas donated a savings bond, and Everlasting Moments Studio donated a family photography package. The parents also receive a gift certificate provided by Huguley Fitness Center.
