Ridge Lozano, 3, lead Pablo’s Texas Wildfire the llama through an obstacle course with assistance from Marcie Saska-Agnew, owner of Two Bit Two Llamas in Grandview and Colorado. The South Central Llama Association hosted an event Saturday in the Tom Frank Jones Arena at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse Grounds. It marked the association’s first event in Cleburne, Saska-Agnew said. Saska-Agnew said llamas are protective but sweet and loving animals that serve primarily as guard animals. Socks, hats and other items crafted from llama wool were available at the event, which also included alpacas. The association’s next event occurs Jan. 20-23 at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
