Thieves busy in county
Law enforcement officials are seeking the person or perspons who stole 12 collectible Barbie Dolls and five bird cages, among other items, on Sunday at a shed on Texas 171 in Grandview, according to Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The dolls were valued at $200 and the bird cages at $240.
Also reported taken in the heist were a 50 cc chrome and blue motorcycle valued at $500, hand tools valued at $1,200, Snap-On tools valued at $3,000, iron plant stands valued at $40, tea pots valued at $100, silver dishes valued at $400 and a drop-hitch trailer valued at $300.
On Monday on John’s Road in Alvarado, someone entered a residence and removed items including a computer monitor and a jewelry box containing jewelry valued at $2,000.
The jewelry included a 15-inch gold bracelet, gold bracelet with green and blue design, Virgin Mary ring, butterfly ring, diamond and gold ring, a diamond ring, a gold, Virgin Mary necklace, and gold, hoop ear rings.
Also Sunday at a house on Texas 171 in Grandview, someone took a burgundy recliner valued at $1,200, a Westinghouse deep freeze valued at $250, an oak coffee table valued at $25, a storm door valued at $300, a Samsung speaker with microphone valued at $50, and brass and leather bench valued at $100.
Sunday on Roberts Lane in Cleburne, suspects entered complainnt’s barn and removed property belonging to complainant. It included black and red bolt cutters valued at $39, chainsaw valued at $300, brake cleaner valued at $15, 30 pairs of pliers valued at $350, Dewalt power drill valued at $150, cordless drill valued at $75, yellow Dewalt drill valued at $50, Ingersoll Rand wrench valued at $400 and Snap-On wrenches valued at $200.
Saturday on County Road 102 in Grandview, someone entered the complainant’s residence and disturbed the residence. Damaged were a window valued at $40 and a china cabinet valued at $100.
On Nov. 7 on Forgotten Lane in Burleson, someon entered property and removed tools and copper wiring.
Investigators were also working two alleged assaults. No arrests were immediately made.
On Sunday on Farm-to-Market Road 917 in Joshua, a bipolar woman assaulted her husband. Last Thursday in Venus, a subject threatened to harm another person.
