Teddy bears being collected for Fort Hood soldiers
A Teddy Bears For Troops Drive, hosted by Cristian Mallory, the 2008 Texas Today’s Girl humanitarian leader, will be held Saturday.
New Teddy bears donated at this drive will be delivered to soldiers at Fort Hood
Teddy Bears should be new and 12 inches or larger.
Mallory will also be collecting Thanksgiving and Christmas cards for the recovering American soldiers.
Items may be left from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the the 2010 Johnson County Area Today’s Girl Pageant and community service event at the Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church located at 2915 S. I-35W in Burleson.
Toy bears may be left at the registration table. A card may be attached to the bear saying who donated it.
