A Joshua man was arrested March 8 after allegedly ramming his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle in a residential area of Joshua.
Gregg Richard Harman, 24, repeatedly backed his car into his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle about 4 a.m., causing minor injuries to the 21-year-old woman and her younger sister, who was also in the car.
Harman had been parked, waiting for the victim’s vehicle to appear before the incident, said Detective Jay Kniffen of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
“When she rounded the corner, he backed up and tried to ram the vehicle, but he missed,” Kniffen said. “She kept going down the road, and he sped up and followed after. According to her report, she swerved to the left in an attempt to avoid getting hit, but her vehicle was hit on the right rear ... panel.”
Harman left the scene before police arrived.
The woman was treated at the scene for a bump on her head, Kniffen said.
Harman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with family violence, a second degree felony.
He was taken to the Johnson County Corrections Center in Cleburne and released March 10 on a $30,000 bond.
Harman could not be reached for comment.
