A memorial service for Cleburne High School Assistant Principal Krista Findley, who was killed in a car wreck Thursday, will be held 4 p.m. Monday in the school’s Don Smith Performing Arts Center.
“The family realizes there will be limited space at Sunday’s service at White Bluff Chapel and wanted to provide this optional memorial service,” Superintendent Robert Damron said. “This will enable more of our students and district staff, particularly those at Cleburne High School and the Phoenix campus, the opportunity to convey their sympathies and share in the celebration of Krista Findley’s life.”
Findley was in her sixth year as a member of the high school staff. She was named an assistant principal in August 2006 after four years as a teacher in the social studies department. Her husband, Wayne, is a teacher at CISD’s Phoenix campus.
A scholarship, to be awarded to a Cleburne High School senior, has been established in memory of Findley by members of the White Bluff community. Contributions may be made to the Krista Findley Scholarship Fund, First National Bank of Whitney, P.O. Box 547, Whitney, TX 76692.
