Lutherans rise with the sun for Easter
Ascension Lutheran Church will host sunrise Easter services at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the pavilion in Hulen Park in Cleburne. The services are free and open to the public. Attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs and dress warmly.

Cleburne church hosting fashion show
The Women’s Ministry of Southwest Family Church will present “Fashion Show for the Faithful” at 2:30 p.m. April 15 at the Church, 414 N. Main St. in Cleburne. Girls from first grade and up and women are invited. The speaker and worship leader will be Amy Hill of Killeen. Jannell’s Boutique of Glen Rose will present the fashions. The shop’s proprietor has taught modeling and fashion, and her store features one-of-a-kind fashion. Premier Designs jeweler Libby Dill will provide jewelry to accessorize the outfits
“Hollywood, ‘Desperate Housewives,’ weeknight sitcoms and fads that come and go can influence fashion and have a huge effect on self-image,” Pastor Steve Dill said. “Families following these fads can become desperate households. The ‘Fashion Show for the Faithful’ will provide a Biblical approach to fashion and finding self-worth from God’s design.”
