The final events in the life of Jesus will be re-enacted in dramatic fashion on Saturday, using venues with natural surroundings and live scenes on the campus of Southwestern Adventist University.
The sixth annual Resurrection Pageant will be performed at six different times beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m.
Other performance times are 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
All performances are in English.
The pageant is free, but tickets are required because seating at the opening and final venue is limited.
In Keene, tickets are available at Pinnacle Bank, General Insurance, the ABC Food Center and the ABC Book Center.
In Cleburne, tickets are available at Jim Moreno Agency, 216 S. Ridgeway Drive, and Members Credit Union, 827 N. Main St.
In Burleson, tickets are available at the office of John Barroso, DDS, 1161 S.W. Wilshire.
The pageant, a combined effort of SWAU and the Keene Adventist Church, involves a core cast of about 230 actors at nine scenes that spectators walk to during a 2 1/2-hour period.
Pageant goers should dress casually and wear comfortable shoes.
The pageant starts in the Keene Adventist Church sanctuary. It ends there also with the Resurrection scene.
Other scenes in the pageant will tell the story of the triumphal entry, the Lord’s Supper, Gethsemane, the Sanhedrin trial, Pilate’s trial, the Via Dolorosa and the crucifixion. There will also be many live animals.’
