The Johnson County Grand Jury in the 413th District Court handed up 78 indictments in August. The indictments include charges for cruelty to animals, intoxication manslaughter, injury to the disabled, assault of a public servant and other crimes.
Cleburne police arrested Henry David Holtzclaw, 40, of Cleburne on July 6 on a charge of cruelty to animals.
Holtzclaw allegedly killed a dog intentionally by cutting the animal on July 5, according to his indictment. Holtzclaw also faces a charge of driving while intoxicated third or more in Tarrant County, officials said.
Carlos Manuel Garcia, 32, of Alvarado was indicted on a charge of intoxication manslaughter in connection with a May 29 traffic accident that resulted in the death of another.
Irais Dawn Sloas, 29, of Burleson, has been indicted on a charge of injury to the disabled. Sloas allegedly struck a disabled person in the face with a closed fist on June 15.
Cleburne police arrested Christal Lynn Bingham, 22, of Godley on July 30 on charges of assaulting a public servant and endangering a child.
Bingham, on July 18, allegedly hit a child protective services investigator who was attempting to place Bingham’s child in a safe environment. Bingham is also charged with endangering a child as the investigator was holding her child when she assaulted him.
