JCSO seeks information on suspicious vehicle

Officials with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office are asking that anyone with information regarding a silver or gray van seen shortly after noon March 5 in the Bent Tree Addition in Burleson.

At 12:31 p.m. March 5, a resident in the Bent Tree addition called to report that a silver or gray van, with a touring-type body style, appeared to be following people who were walking in that area. The van reportedly did not have a front license plate.

The sheriff’s office is asking that anyone who sees a vehicle like this or has any information on such a vehicle — including license plate numbers, stickers on the vehicle or damage to it, or any information on the driver and/or passengers — document that information and contact the Sheriff’s Office Communication Center at 817-556-6060 or 817-558-0024 or Detective Jay Kniffen at 817-556-6058.

Sheriff’s office officials noted that the vehicle is not, at this time, associated with any criminal offense and is simply listed only as a suspicious vehicle.
