SWAU to present free Christmas concert
Southwestern Adventist University’s Department of Music will present “A Christmas Concert with Southwestern” on Dec. 8 at the Cleburne Conference Center.
The concert will feature vocal and instrumental Christmas music performed by music faculty John Boyd, Rudy Dennis, and Jonathan Wall, as well as select music students from Southwestern.
The concert is free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so guests are encouraged to arrive early. A reception will be held immediately following the concert.

Area drop sites for Toys for Tots
Marshall Young & Associates Insurance, 1470 W. Henderson St., and Cleburne Ford, 3800 N. Main St., are local drop off points for this year’s Marine Toys for Toys Foundation Drive.
Donors may drop off gifts between now and Dec. 13. Donated toys should be new and unwrapped, appropriate for ages up to 12 years. Though Toys for Tots screens all articles thoroughly for safety before delivering to the children, donors are asked to keep safety in mind when they make their selections. In addition to monetary and toy donations, donors can help the Toys For Tots campaign by volunteering or hosting toy drive events and collections.
All donations are tax deductible. A full list of drop off points is available at dfwtoysfortots.org. The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, according to the Toys for Tots website, is to assist the Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.
