Fall festivals calendar

FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS

• Yogi and Boo Boo Bear’s Hollerin’ Halloween, hosted by Rustic Creek Ranch, 2301 S. Burleson Blvd. in Burleson, begins at 6 p.m. Safe trick-or-treating, hay rides with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, fire truck rides and costume contest are available. Cost is $12 per child or four cans of food to be donated to Harvest House and $10.

• Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” presented by the Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players, begins at 2:30 p.m. Sundays and 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at the Community Performing Arts Center in the Cleburne Conference Center. For information, call 817-645-9255 or visit carnegieplayers.com.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29

• A fall festival, hosted by Calvary Baptist Church, 700 Woodard Ave., is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Activities include game booths, a giant cake walk, candy, refreshments and more. Admission is free. For information, call 817-645-7758.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30

• Boo Run!, hosted by Community Opportunities Inc., begins with registration from 6:45-7:45 a.m. at Hulen Park. Fees are different for the 5K walk/run, 10K run and half-marathon. A free Boo!Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. For information, visit www.boorun.org.

• A fall festival, hosted by St. Mark United Methodist Church, 1109 W. Henderson St., is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include a country store, bake sale, live and silent auctions, a pumpkin patch, children’s area, health and safety fair and barbecue lunch.

• HallowWings of Hope, Halliburton’s annual charity motorcycle ride benefitting Wings of Hope Equitherapy, begins at 9:15 a.m. at Home Depot in Cleburne and ending at Wings of Hope in Egan. For information, call Kay Armstrong at 817-761-2036 or Carolyn Martchenke at 817-504-4747.

• A Wild West Fall Festival, hosted by the Cleburne Public Library, 302 W. Henderson St., is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities include an annual book sale, chili contest, bake sale, Branlin’s Wild West Photos, Indian war pony pictures, face painting, games for the kids and more. • Pumpkin carving and costume contest, hosted by Wright Plaza, is from 2-3 p.m. Cash prizes are available for three places in both contests. Judging begins at 3 p.m.

• Trunk or Treat, hosted by Lone Star Autoplex, 2235 N. Main St., is from 4-6 p.m. A costume contest with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be held.

• A fall festival, hosted by Friendship Baptist Church, 4661 S. Hwy. 171 in Cleburne, is from 5-7 p.m. Train rides, food, games, a slide and candy and prizes are available. For information, call Monica Flippin at 817-991-4769.

• A fall festival, hosted by Nolan River Road Baptist Church, 820 N. Nolan River Road, is from 5-7 p.m. Activities include Trunk or Treat, games, prizes, bounce house and a cake walk. For information, call the church office at 817-645-5642.

• A fall festival, hosted by United Presbyterian Church, 1510 Westhill Drive, is from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Food, games, candy and prizes are available. For information, call Catherine Manning at 817-202-8866.

• A pumpkin patch party, hosted by Henderson Street Baptist Church, 919 E. Henderson St., is from 4:30-6 p.m. Free food and games, gobs of candy and live music are available. For information, call 817-645-7881.

• A fall festival, hosted by United Presbyterian Church is from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at 1510 W. Westhill Drive. A chili contest, cake walk, food, games and prizes will be available. For information, e-mail angie@impressivelawns.com or cpmteacher@aol.com.

• A kid's rodeo fest, hosted by Shepherd's Valley Cowboy Church, is from 5-7 p.m. at 3437 County Road 807. Activities include mechanical bull riding, games, a live auction and costume contest for cowboys, cowgirls and clowns. For information, call 817-790-8898 or visit www.shepherdsvalley.com.

• Fall Fest, hosted by Open Door Church, 301 Main St. in Joshua, is from 5-9 p.m. Activities include games, concessions and a cake walk with candy and prizes. For information, call Denise at 817-645-6200.

• StarFest, hosted by the city of Keene, is from 6-9 p.m. at 100 N. Mockingbird. Carnival style games and celebration including a gymnastic show, boxing match, motor cross riders jumping cars, Jesse Janes Band and bounce house. All activities are free of charge and food vendors are available.

• Trunk or Treat, hosted by Field Street Baptist Church, is from 6-7:30 p.m. in the church's back parking lot. Free games, a puppet show and lots of candy is available.

• A fall festival, hosted by First Baptist Church of Rio Vista, is from 6-8 p.m. Activities include prizes, games and food.

• Trunk or Treat, hosted by First Baptist Church, 414 N. Main St. in Cleburne, is from 6-8 p.m. Activities include bounce houses, balloons, hot dogs, candy and more. Members with decorated car trunks will pass out candy. For information, call 817-645-6684.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6

• Lord’s Acre, hosted by Godley United Methodist Church, begins at 9 a.m. at Godley Elementary School, 600 Pearson St., when the country store and bake shoppe open. A turkey and dressing dinner is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. A silent auction is from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and a live auction is held at 1 p.m.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13

• An annual fall bazaar and garage sale, hosted by Cleburne Terrace Apartments, 1661 Woodard Ave., is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities include local vendors, a bounce house, garage sale items and more. Booth space is still available.
