Keene school board to discuss salaries



Keene school trustees will discuss 2009-10 employee salaries at Monday’s regularly scheduled board meeting beginning at 6 p.m. at the administration building, 3625C Highway 67.

Discussion items include Hodges PR Service & Consulting, school safety choice option, a construction update, an update on a possible property transaction at 505 S. Eastern, DEC local leaves and absences, Johnson County Juvenile AEP memorandum of understanding, and a finance report.

Action items include school safety choice option, AEP MOU, the local leaves and absences and employee salaries.

Cleburne student named to honor roll



WACO — Jonathan Bradford of Cleburne earned a place on the President’s Honor Roll for the spring semester at Texas State Technical College Waco. Bradford is a student in Golf Course & Landscape Management.

The President’s Honor Roll recognizes the scholastic achievement of students with a grade point average of 4.0 for the semester.

Victim offended by ‘provocative’ contact



Officers investigated two alleged assaults with bodily injury last week, according to Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

In Burleson on Wednesday, in a dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend, a suspect reportedly made physical contact with the victim, and the victim found the contact to be offensive and provocative.

In Alvarado on Tuesday in a family dispute, the complainant said she was assaulted by someone without her permission or consent.

Officers are also investigating three burglaries.

On Wednesday in Venus, items were reportedly taken from a house.

On Wednesday in Alvarado, an unknown suspect broke into a residence and removed items.

On Tuesday in Burleson, an unknown person entered a building without consent, caused damage and took items.

RVISD trustees

to consider

selection committee



Rio Vista school trustees will discuss a high school principal selection committee and the employee pay scale and consider a transfer tuition waiver at Monday’s regularly scheduled board meeting beginning at 7 p.m. in the administration building.

Interim superintendent Steve Madson will present reports on taxes, finances, use of facilities and grants and donations.

In action items, the board will also consider:

• Johnson County (JJAEP) 2009-2010 contract

• Graduation location for class of 2010

• 2009-2010 employee handbook

• 2009-2010 athletic handbook.

JISD trustees to

consider compensation plan, insurance



Joshua school trustees will consider an employment compensation plan for school year 2009-10 and proposals for student athletic insurance and accident coverage at Monday’s regularly scheduled board meeting beginning at 7 p.m. in the administration building.

A workshop at 5:30 will cover construction projects, superintendent reports and the 2009-10 school budget.

Also on the action items agenda, the board will consider:

• An agreement with the Johnson County Juvenile Board for the 2009-10 school year.

• The 2009-10 school year appraisal calendar.

• PDAS appraisers for 2009-10.
