Firefighters extinguish unattended blazes

By Matt Smith/msmith@trcle.com

Cleburne firefighters responded to two unattended fires Tuesday. No damage or injuries occurred from either fire.

Firefighters found an unattended campfire burning in a campfire ring at Buddy Stewart Park at 10:12 a.m. They used about 10 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters responded to a controlled burn near Harvest Hill Drive and Country Club Road at 10:26 p.m.

No one was present, and the fire had apparently been burning for several hours before firefighters arrived. Firefighters doused the brush pile with a full tank of water from a brush truck.
