‘Secret Garden’ opens Thursday

Show will run for a month in Cleburne

Plaza Theatre Company, 208 S. Main St. in Cleburne, will show “The Secret Garden” from Thursday through Oct. 20. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Saturdays. Reserved seating is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $7 for children 12 and under. “The Secret Garden,” a children’s literature classic, is fused with music by Lucy Simon in Plaza’s production. Orphaned in India, a 10-year-old girl returns to England to live with an embittered, reclusive uncle and his invalid son.

The estate includes a magic garden.

Flashbacks and dream sequences intertwine with “The Secret Garden’s” tale of regeneration and hope.

The play is under the direction of JaceSon and Tina Barrus, with musical direction by Mary Helen Atkins and choreography by JaceSon and Tina Barrus and special segments by Tabitha Barrus. The remaining crew includes:
