Zonta, Rotary to host joint meeting

The Cleburne Rotary Club will join with the Zonta Club of Johnson County to host a meeting at noon Thursday at the Cleburne Senior Center in Cleburne. The speaker will be Kay Cosper, director of program operations on the F-35 JSF program at Lockheed Martin. Her program will focus on the F-35 JFS program development.

Cosper has worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and its heritage companies since 1979 and began her career as a logistics contract analyst responsible for the administration of the logistical contract requirements for F-16 support equipment. She later became involved with determining the support equipment needs for production contracts with Israel, Greece, Egypt and Turkey.

In 1989, she was named as group supervisor of business and provisioning with the responsibility of ensuring that F-16 support and training equipment contractual requirements were met.

She has held positions of increasing responsibility since she began her career. In 1995, she became the Integrated Logistics Support project manager for the F-16 Avionics Intermediate Shop/Improved AIS. In 1996, Cosper was appointed manager of the F-16 Support Integration Team where she integrated the planning, systems support and post production sustainment functions.

In 1997, she was named as the manager over the Integrated Support Planning and Configuration Management core competency activities and logistics integration across tactical aircraft programs. In 2002, she moved into program management and was promoted to director of program management in 2003.

Cosper received a Special Meritorious Award for her work with the Egyptian Air Force and an Extraordinary Achievement Award for her work with the Egyptian Air Force and an Extraordinary Achievement Award for her involvement with the Hellenic (Greek) Air Force. She has also served as a United Way loaned executive and served in an integral role in Lockheed Martin’s U.S. Savings Bond Drives.

Her professional associations include the Society of Logistics Engineers, the National Management Association and the Air Force Association. She serves on the board of directors for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company Leadership Association.

Cosper graduated from Baylor University in 1979 with a BBA in management. In 1995, she received an MBA with a focus in multinational management from Baylor University. She is a life member of the Baylor Alumni Association and assists the Dallas EMBA Program with recruitment.

Cosper and her husband, Jim, live in Fort Worth where they are active members of the First United Methodist Church. She is a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Zonta Club of Fort Worth.
