Fourth of July parade, festivities planned

The Cleburne Chamber of Commerce is planning to bring Fourth of July in with a bang.

The annual fireworks show is set to begin at darkfall, around 9:30 p.m. at Lake Pat Cleburne. Bands from The Rock House will begin performing at noon, with the featured guest band, Wide Open, performing at 7:30 p.m.

KCLE will play music in sync with the fireworks show.

The Fourth of July parade will begin at 6 p.m. in downtown Cleburne. Johnson County Sheriff Bob Alford and the Sheriff’s Posse will be the color guard.

Mr. and Mrs. George Marti will serve as parade marshals.

The parade will begin at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse Grounds. It will proceed downtown on South Caddo Street, turning at the square around the courthouse and coming back down North Main Street.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Proud to be an American.” Applications for the parade will be accepted until Wednesday. Cost to enter is $15.

For parade applications or information, call the chamber at 817-645-2455.
