Family violence mars weekend

Three cases of family violence resulted in arrests last weekend, according to Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

On Sunday in Burleson, a man allegedly assaulted his wife by choking her and hitting her multiple times in the face with a closed fist, causing serious bodily injury to the victim’s face and neck.

On Sunday in Joshua, a man allegedly assaulted his wife during an argument.

On Saturday in Alvarado, a suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, causing bodily injury.

Five other reported assaults did not result in arrests. Investigations continue.

On Monday in Joshua, complainant alleged assault by her boyfriend.

On Sunday in Cleburne, complainant alleged assault by actor.

On Saturday in Alvarado, complainant alleged assault by actor causing bodily injury.

On Sunday in Cleburne, complainant alleged assault by actors causing multiple injuries.

On Saturday in Cleburne, complainant alleged assault by actor during an argument over television watching.

Two burglaries were reported Sunday in Godley. Items were taken from a shed and house. No arrests were made.

On Monday in Joshua, unknown actor took a firearm from a residence without consent. No arrest was made.
