Locations are set for early voting and election day polling for the April 8 Democratic primary run-off election for state railroad commissioner.
The run-off pits Mark Thompson against Dale Henry.
Thompson won 48 percent of the vote but did not win the seat outright. He needed 50 percent plus one vote. Henry won 27 percent and Art Hall won 24 percent.
“We’re not expecting a huge turnout,” Johnson County Democratic Party Chairwoman Gayle Ledbetter said.
Early voting locations will be the same six locations used for early voting in the March 4 primary election. Hours for early voting will be 8 to 5 p.m. March 31 to April 4.
On election day, April 8, four polling places will be open.
Elections Administrator Cheri Hawkins said the party decided using four locations would save money and would be sufficient for the expected low turnout.
Hours for election day will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
