Cleburne council meets today



The Cleburne City Council will hold a 5 p.m. called meeting today.

The single item on the agenda concerns a vote on whether to accept $5,930,000 in financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board.

The financing will partially fund future city water projects.

The meeting is at Cleburne City Hall on 10 N. Robinson St.

Carnegie to hold open auditions for play



The Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players will hold open auditions from 2-5:30 p.m. Jan. 18 and at 7 p.m. Jan. 18 for “The Man Who Came to Dinner.”

The cast necessary for the play includes eight women and 12 men, from older teenagers to mature.

Auditions will be held at Carnegie Theater, on the second floor of Layland Museum located at 201 N. Caddo St. in Cleburne.

Rehearsals begin Jan. 20
