Plaza’s “Seussical the Musical” is a wondrous sight. You’ll wonder and wobble and squeal with delight.
Its fun for the family, so take the whole brood. You’ll leave skipping and humming fantastical tunes.
Every Seussical musical begins and ends with the cat.
Michael Sisemore plays the feline in the red and white hat.
He dances and prances and jokes with the crowd. He’ll make you giggle and wiggle and laugh right out loud.
Aaron Siler plays Horton, a hero you see, who saves all of Whoville while hatching an egg in a tree.
Cooper Rogers plays Jojo, and oh, what a find. He’s a cherub and gentle with a curious mind.
Daron Cockerell aptly plays sweet Gertrude McFuzz.
She’s gawky and awkward and a plain, dowdy bird, but she loves harried Horton and just longs to be heard.
The Silers, G. Aaron and Milette, co-direct.
They make the play tumble but never stumble, and the choreography is perfect.
The show’s colors and bubbles make a magical night. So eat popcorn and giggle till your cheeks get all tight.
The show has Yertle the Turtle, even cute Cindy Lou Who, so don’t dally or tarry, buy a ticket or two.
I puzzled and muzzled and wasted tons of time, but you’ll have to forgive that this last bit won’t rhyme.
“Seussical the Musical” runs at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, with two performances Saturdays at 3 and 7:30 p.m. through Feb. 7.
