A Cleburne man arrested on a warrant Dec. 27 had supplies and chemicals commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine, according to Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Deputies arrested Richard Lane Batey, 50, on a Texas Department of Criminal Justice warrant for a parole violation. Deputies found Batey in his vehicle in the 1600 block of County Road 1227.
A search of his vehicle after his arrest uncovered a five-gallon gas can, two 50 pound bags of sulfate ammonia, about 100 ephedrine pills, six bottles of lye, dry ice and other materials used to make methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested Batey on the warrant and a charge of possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
He remains jailed at the Johnson County Adult Probation Center.
