Ballot mess not Dems’ fault
Dear Editor:
In response to Dan Hunt’s letter:
We, the Democratic Party, were not responsible for printing the Republican primary ballots.
The argument raised by the Democratic Party was and is that the taxpayers of Johnson County should not have to pay for reprinting 70,000 ballots.
And, in true GOP fashion, you crafted a response to Bill designed to imply that the ballot misprints were some type of ploy, by the Dems, to “corrupt” the election process.
Shame, shame.

Reynolds will work tirelessly
Dear Editor:
I wanted to take the time to express my support for Ted Reynolds for state representative District 58.
I have known Ted since 2001 and during that time have requested his help and support for many city projects and events.
Unlike many representatives, Ted is very accessible by phone or in person and takes a great interest in the community.
I believe Ted will continue to work tirelessly for our district as state representative.

Vote Reynolds for District 58 representative
Dear Editor:
Fellow citizens of Cleburne:
I am asking everyone to get out and vote for a man who has done a lot for our city. Ted Reynolds as 4B president and three-term Cleburne mayor helped to make major changes to our quality of life.
He brought us the new aquatics center, the youth sports complex, the golf course and the new convention center.
All these improvements have made an impact on the lives and businesses of our city’s residents.
He has worked hard to deliver the 121 connection to Fort Worth; it would be wonderful for him to continue his work on this project as our state representative.
He has my vote, and I hope he has yours.
Vote for Ted Reynolds as your state representative on March 2 in the Republican primary.

Re-elect Harmon as county judge
Dear Editor:
I am writing to affirm Roger Harmon for re-election as county Judge of Johnson County.
It has been my joy and privilege to be Roger and Martha Harmon’s pastor for the past 15 years at First Baptist Church in Godley.
Roger Harmon is a man of integrity and fairness with a love for Johnson County and vision for it.
Johnson County has been his and Martha’s home and the place where both of their families served in civic and business ways before them.
Roger Harmon is a man who loves his family, with strong family values, and exemplifies character and morality in his daily life.
Roger Harmon is a man of faith, serving his church as a deacon, Bible study teacher and leader.
Roger Harmon has earned the opportunity to be re-elected because of his strong leadership and vision for Johnson County.
As his pastor and friend I encourage the residents of Johnson County to re-elect him as our county judge.
Most people know that I love Godley and Johnson County and want what is best for it. I believe Judge Roger Harmon will be the best.

Pastor, First Baptist Church, Godley
Re-elect Orr in District 58
Dear Editor:
I am writing in support of state Rep. Rob Orr’s re-election campaign.
Rob and I have been acquainted for more than 25 years, since he sold my wife and me our first house in 1982.
We have attended church together, served as elders at the same time, and our families have become close friends.
It is because of our friendship that I can attest to Rob’s leadership and passion for serving the citizens of Johnson and Bosque counties in the Texas Legislature.
Rob has represented us in the Texas House since 2005 and takes this responsibility very seriously.
He continues to work hard on issues that are vital to his district.
He is the kind of leader we need to keep in Austin.
I urge all Johnson and Bosque County voters to vote for Rob Orr.

Wholehearted recommendation for Sikes
Dear Editor:
I would like to wholeheartedly recommend Richard Sikes for the office of county clerk.
For more than 40 years I have been privileged to call Richard a friend.
The way Richard tirelessly serves and volunteers for our community has been an example and inspiration to me and my family.
Because of Richard’s leadership abilities and willingness to serve, he has been president of the Cleburne Rotary Club, Layland Museum board, Buffalo Creek.
He has also served on the 4B economic board and serves as chairman of the railroad museum committee.
He has worked on and helped with more worthwhile projects around town than I could mention.
So often the citizens and taxpayers, when having to deal with a government agency or office be it federal, state or local, will realize that the kind of uncaring bureaucratic service they receive would never fly in the real world of business.
I believe Richard will bring an efficient, user-friendly style of management to the clerk’s office based on real-world business practices that will serve our county well.
Please join me March 2 in electing Richard Sikes to the office of county clerk.

Another endorsement for Rob Orr
Dear Editor:
What a great pleasure it is for me to endorse Rep. Rob Orr for another term as Texas state representative, District 58.
He is exactly the type of person who comes to mind when I think, “What kind of person do I want representing me in our government?”
His honesty is unquestioned, his work ethic is of the highest standard, and he is the most sincere person I know.
Rob has a long history of service to others, ranging from his church to his career and now as a veteran of three terms in the Texas House.
His record of appointments, accomplishments, and honors is much too long to list in this letter, but in my opinion, one of the most notable is the work he has accomplished as a member of the Land and Resource Management Committee of the Texas House.
In this position, Rob has been a champion for the protection of individual property rights throughout Texas.
His position regarding eminent domain issues undoubtedly shows his interest in providing protection for the state’s citizens.
Rob is a strong voice for District 58 because his conservative values clearly represent the values of his constituents.
He voted for tax cuts for small businesses. He believes that it’s vital to secure our border. He works to strengthen pro-life issues.
And he advocates protecting the integrity of our elections. These are the views that make Texas strong.
You can bet I will be supporting Rob Orr for re-election as state representative, District 58, both financially and with my vote in the primary and general elections. I urge you to join with me in keeping Texas great.

Hoping to call friend ‘state rep’
Dear Editor:
I am writing in support of my friend Ted Reynolds. I have known Ted and his wife Angela for many years. Ted and I share a passion for youth sports.
Ted, Angela and their company, Westhill Construction Inc., have been huge contributors to our youth sports in Cleburne.
Ted has been a coach in little league baseball and little dribblers basketball.
He has built, without charge, dugouts for our Cleburne High School baseball fields and a basketball court at Gerard Elementary.
These are just a few examples of how Ted has given of his time and his talents to our community.
I am proud to call him my friend, and I hope to call him my next state representative.
Please join me in voting for Ted Reynolds on March 2 in the Republican primary for state representative.

Time for a change at state rep slot
Dear Editor:
We have known Ted Reynolds since 1975, when he was employed with Lone Star Gas Company, and then later became manager, before going into his own business, Westhill Construction Company.
We voted for Ted when he ran for mayor and think that he has served the city of Cleburne welt.
We were delighted to see him step up to the plate and toss his hat into the ring as candidate for state representative.
Rob Orr has served us well, but we think at this stage of government we truly do need a change and not the kind we’ve been getting this past year.
We need a good shake-up in government, and we believe Ted Reynolds would serve honorably in the capacity of state representative for the state of Texas.
We are pleased to say thanks, Ted, for a job well done while mayor of the city of Cleburne and best wishes for your new endeavor.

Son offers support for Orr
Dear Editor:
State Rep. Rob Orr from Burleson is my dad, and I have watched how hard he works on behalf of the constituents he serves.
Even through the Texas Legislature only meets 140 days every-other-year; this is really a full-time job.
There is not a week and often a day that goes by that he isn’t working on behalf of the citizens of the state of Texas.
He is a champion of private property rights and if re-elected will continue to represent his constituents in the Texas House.
My two brothers and two sisters join me in encouraging all Johnson County voters to re-elect our dad, Rep. Rob Orr, to the Texas House of Representatives. Election Day is March 2.

Take opportunity to re-elect Orr
Dear Editor:
Cleburne and Johnson County voters have an opportunity to re-elect Rob Orr to the Texas House of Representatives, and I believe they should do just that.
During these difficult economic times we need someone with experience representing us in Austin, and Rep. Orr is that person.
As a longtime resident of Cleburne I have had the opportunity to work with Rep. Orr on a variety of issues, and I know that when he tells me something I can depend on it.
Rep. Orr has long been a supporter of private property rights and has worked very hard to make the eminent domain laws fair for property owners.
With all the recent gas drilling activity in Johnson County, this is important to me.
I’ll be voting for Rep. Rob Orr as my state representative and encourage all voters to do the same.

Joshua resident supports Orr
Dear Editor:
On March 2, residents of Johnson County have an opportunity to re-elect an exceptional member of the Texas House of Representatives, Rep. Rob Orr of Burleson.
Professionally, Rep. Orr is the broker and owner of Orr & Associates Real Estate in Burleson.
I am fortunate to work as an agent in his firm and know how honorable, honest and hard working he is.
On a personal level, we’ve attended church with Rep. Orr and his family.
Rep. Orr is a leader in the Texas House. Recently the Texas House speaker has named him to the Select Committee on Government Efficiency and Accountability.
The conservative values he has at work are the values he takes to Austin with him.
These are the same values I believe benefit our state.
I hope all Johnson County voters will join me in re-electing Rob Orr in District 58 to the Texas House of Representatives.
He is the person I want representing me in Austin.

Reynolds’ passion his greatest asset
Dear Editor:
I would like to voice my support for Ted Reynolds as our next state representative in District 58.
Ted is passionate about our community and his dedication to making Cleburne and Johnson County a great place to live and raise a family is his greatest asset. I have seen this dedication on many occasions in the past 10 years.
As our first 4B president he worked tirelessly to make sure all voices were heard, and he successfully opened Splash Station and the Cleburne Sports Complex, and was instrumental in the planning of the Booker T. Washington Community Center.
This spirit of volunteerism continued as he became mayor six years ago.
Cleburne has grown and prospered under his leadership without raising taxes.
I have attended hundreds of meetings with Mayor Reynolds, and he is a consensus builder.
One of his greatest strengths as a leader is his willingness to listen to all sides with respect and understanding while remaining steadfast in his convictions.
Our state legislature needs pragmatic people who understand we must break the gridlock in Austin and address big issues with common sense, not political pandering.
His work on behalf of the Texas 121 Southwest Parkway/Chisholm Trail project exemplifies this dedication to getting projects off the drawing board and into reality.
This project deserves to be completed, and Ted Reynolds is the man to represent District 58 in Austin.
I urge you to vote for a public servant who will not settle for business as usual.
Please make your voice heard by voting for Ted Reynolds on March 2.

Keep a good man in office
Dear Editor:
Texas needs good men and women making decisions and speaking on behalf of fellow Texans.
Sending those folks to Austin is our first job; keeping the good ones in is our second.
My state representative is Rob Orr.
I have known Rob for many years.
I have personal friends who know Rob through church, business, little league sports and now as their state rep.
My wife has known Rob all her life and, as a teacher in the public school system for 26 years, considers Rob a friend of our students and teachers.
Rob is a smart, successful businessman who knows how to operate within a budget and the importance of running a profitable business.
His approach to state government is the same.
When Rob first decided to run for office he took me to lunch and asked for my support.
I asked Rob a number of questions as to what his approach to that office would be.
He told me, and I supported him that day and ever since.
I am now asking that you go out and make sure Rob Orr remains the state representative for District 58 in Johnson and Bosque counties.

Orr a reputable representative
Dear Editor:
I have know Rob Orr personally for more than 24 years and have known him to be a reputable representative of Johnson County.
Johnson County deserves a state representative who has the experience and knowledge to make a difference in Austin.
Rep. Rob Orr is that person.
He is a proven businessman and even began working on legislation to benefit everyone before he was elected.
This proves to me that he has the best interests of the citizens at heart.
Since he was elected to represent District 58, he has been appointed to serve on important committees in the Texas House of Representatives.
Join me in voting for Rep. Rob Orr.
