7/19/2009 Letters to the Editor

Don’t blame Pamela West for pointing out illegal activities

Rio Vista is a wonderful town and has a lot of wonderful people who have pride in their homes and who love God, their family and friends.

In time of need, they bond together and make things happen. A group of caring, wonderful people.

The citizens of Rio Vista have made their choice. The city of Rio Vista citizens did vote “no” to liquor in three elections.

In the elections that barely passed, these are the ones the judge voided because of illegal things. If these elections had passed legally, there would not of been a judge involved.

Don’t blame Mrs. West. It is about 60 plus people who are concerned citizens of the Rio Vista area who did the research and prayers for these court cases.

Mrs. West is a very intelligent, a very moral, honest woman, who is one of the most caring people I have ever met.

She does not have a vindictive bone in her body.

She does not lie; she is a hard working person on the Rio Vista zoning committee.

It is awful that people attack her because she wants things done legally.

Each person in the city of Rio Vista and Johnson County should have the same goal — that all things be done legally.

I would like to thank each of the citizens in our area for their love for Rio Vista, for the caring and prayers in these past times of turmoil.

The city taxpayers will each have to share in the cost of the last election and probably in the future ones, so if your tax rate does increase, please do not blame Mrs. West. Put the blame where it belongs, on the few who choose not to do things legally.
