From 4 p.m. Thursday to 2 a.m. Friday, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 reports of accidents as a heavy snow storm hit the area, according to a release from the The following felony arrests are taken from public records at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. All individuals should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff’s deputies responded with the Department of Public Safety to 25 of the accidents.
Two accidents each were reported through the JCSO communication center for the cities of Godley, Joshua and Grandview, with one accident each for the cities of Rio Vista and Venus. Alvarado, Burleson and Cleburne have their own communication centers.
One person suffered a broken arm in the only reported injury.
The Fisherman’s Paradise are encountered severe icing on the main hill in the community. Fire Department personnel and Precinct 1 Commissioner Rick Bailey, with his ATV, responded to this area and assisted those who were in need.
One elderly couplewas rescued after becoming trapped at this location. The husband was on oxygen.

Rescue workers pull body from water
Alvarado and Cleburne firefighters pulled the body of a man from moving water near County Road 607 caused by rain about 1 p.m. Wednesday. The man attempted to cross a high-water crossing in his truck and became stuck, Cleburne Fire Chief Clint Ishmael said. According to reports, rescue workers saw the man in the water earlier Wednesday morning but were unable to reach him. The identity of the man has not been released.
