Five departments respond to fire

Firefighters from Cleburne, Alvarado, Burleson, Joshua and Keene responded to a Saturday fire in the 1800 block of County Road 909, according to Cleburne Fire Department reports.

The blaze involved a large storage building that was fully involved.

Several smaller garages that were attached to the main structure and a small residence about 20 feet away were not burned in the fire, according to reports.

Several of the garages contained vehicles, tools and other items.

A concrete fire wall separating the buildings apparently stemmed the spread of the fire, according to reports.

Two Airstream travel trailers were located in the large garage.

Another recreational vehicle, which was parked in front of the main garage, received some damage but did not burn, according to reports.

Firefighters reported no injuries from the fire but deemed both trailers and the contents of the garage a loss.

The cause of the fire remains to be determined, Lt. Russ Bassham of the Joshua Fire Department said.

Cleburne police calls

Police responded to a verbal-argument call in the 900 block of North Wilhite Street on Monday, which resulted in the arrest of one man.

The man allegedly choked a female and prevented her from calling 911. Police arrested the man, whose name has not been released, on charges of aggravated assault family violence and interference with an emergency call.

On Friday, in the 1700 block of Short Street, police issued a citation for disorderly conduct, indecent exposure to a man after a complainant said the man exposed himself.

That same day, a woman in the 1800 block of Pipeline Road reported that someone burglarized her home and stole her truck, according to reports.

On Thursday, a store clerk reported that two men entered a store in the 2100 block of North Main Street with each man taking two 12-packs of Budweiser.

The clerk said the men left without paying and fled in an unknown direction, according to reports.

Police responded to a business in the 700 block of North Main Street on Monday and retrieved a counterfeit $20 bill, according to reports.
