Burleson constable named Deputy Constable of the Year

Burleson resident George Reynolds, who serves as a deputy constable in Tarrant County’s Precinct 6, was awarded the 2011 Deputy Constable of the Year Award for the State of Texas on June 11.

The Justice of the Peace and Constables Association bestowed the award upon Reynolds during their yearly convention, which was held in Wichita Falls.

The award recognizes Reynolds’ contributions to his community, his office and the association, according to a press release.

The award also marks Reynolds’ membership in a rather exclusive group. Reynolds also won the award in 2004, which makes him one of only three deputies to have ever received the award twice.

Reynolds, who has been on the Justice Court Training Center Faculty for 10 years, instructs constables and their deputies throughout the state.

Reynolds also serves as a deputy constable for Tarrant County Precinct 6 Constable Joe Kubes.

That may soon change. Reynolds recently announced plans to run for the Precinct 2 constable seat in Johnson County next year.
