Fire totals mobile home
Firefighters battle a blaze that rendered a mobile home a total loss on Tuesday morning. The fire occurred about 5 a.m. Tuesday on Farm-to-Market Road 916 west of Joshua. Firefighters from Joshua and Godley arrived within minutes, said Lt. Russ Bassham of the Joshua Volunteer Fire Department. Firefighters from MidNorth and Burleson also arrived to assist, said Joey Reed, Johnson County Emergency Services District No. 1 executive director. The sole occupant was not at home at the time, Bassham said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said.
