Local resident participate in AQHA riding program
Megan Frost of Cleburne recently enrolled in the American Quarter Horse Association all breeds horseback riding program.
The program recognizes and rewards AQHA members for time spent with any breed of horse.
Members complete a program application and pay a one-time enrollment fee.
Each enrollee receives an official AQHA log sheet to record time spent driving or riding a horse and submits the form to AQHA by Dec. 21.
Awards are given based on number of hours logged and verified. After 50 hours, the participant receives a recognition patch. Six other levels provide other awards. At 2,000 hours, the participant receives a certificate of completion and merchandise from Drysdales Western Store.
