Lone Star Ag Credit sponsors public speaking contest

Lone Star Ag Credit, the premier ag-lender in Texas, is sponsoring the State Fair of Texas public speaking contest.

The contest will be held Oct. 6 in Dallas.

4-H and FFA members in Texas from ages 8 to 18 will compete in seven divisions: Western heritage, natural resources, animal science, livestock show ethics, agribusiness, agricultural policy and agriscience.

This is the second year the State Fair of Texas has held a public speaking contest and the first year for Lone Star Ag Credit to sponsor it.

The contest will be held on Ag Awareness Day, and the finals will be held on the Chevy Main Stage with Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples present.

“Lone Star Ag Credit is honored to support agricultural youth by being involved in the State Fair. We know they are the future of agriculture and we are very proud of them,” said Daron Gates, CEO.
