Election ’08 information

Early voting
Early voting in the November election runs from Monday to Oct. 31. Voters may vote in any on the locations listed below regardless of where they live in the county.
Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday to Oct. 31. Polls will also be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 25 and from 1-6 p.m. Oct. 26.
There are six early voting locations:

Note: Voting precincts 21 and 22 in Keene and 26 and 27 in Grandview are combined voting precincts. Voting Precinct 34 no longer exists.
Keene alcohol option election
Keene residents can vote on a proposition to legalize the sale of beer and wine for off-premise consumption within Keene city limits. Johnson County, not the city of Keene, is holding the election. Only Keene residents may vote on the proposition, however. Residents may vote at any of the six early voting locations. But they must vote at the Keene Senior Citizen’s Center on election day.
Keene City Council election
Keene City Council elections also take place Nov. 4. Early voting runs from Monday to Oct. 31 at Keene City Hall. Election-day voting is at the Keene Senior Citizen’s Center.
Mayor: Incumbent Roy Robinson faces Warren B. Findley II.
Ward I Place II: Incumbent Roger Ackermann faces Justin Hopps and Kevin Kopf.
Ward II Place II: Incumbent Robert Bischoff faces David Patterson.
Ward III Place II: Incumbent Robert Cooper faces Eddie Kirkpatrick.
