ALVARADO – Services for Darlene Martin May, 73, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Steve Gifford will officiate, assisted by Pastor Henry Reid. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. following the service at Rock Church Cemetery south of Tolar, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. May passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born July 2, 1935, in Fort Worth to James Edgar Martin and Melissa Belle Lambert Martin.
Mrs. May married Cecil May on Jan. 26, 1953, in Tacoma Park, Md. She was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Seventh-day Adventist Church in Joshua, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil May of Alvarado; daughters, Maylene Jeffress and husband, Doug, of Burleson, Teresa Sonne and husband, Axel, of Alvarado; and grandchildren, Martin Sonne of Burleson and Travis Sonne of Alvarado.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Auda Fay Starks and Ester Lily Wells.
