Cleburne ISD announces reassignment of three administrators

Cleburne ISD Superintendent Tim Miller has announced the reassignment of three campus administrators, effective Monday.

Suzanne Keesee, principal of the Phoenix campus, which serves secondary students assigned to DAEP, has been reassigned as an assistant principal at Wheat Middle School.

Richard Mitchell, principal of Adams Elementary, will fill Keesee’s vacancy at Phoenix and Mary Boedeker, assistant principal at Adams, has been named the interim principal at the campus for the remainder of the school year.

“Ms. Keesee is replacing a probationary assistant principal position at Wheat Middle School, in conjunction with the district’s recent cost-saving measures,” Miller said. “The reassignments of Keesee and Mitchell at this time will give them both an opportunity to work with each other, as well as the staff at each of their new campuses, before the end of this school year.”

“Mrs. Boedeker will receive administrative assistance from our central office staff and also from members of the Adams faculty who have administrative certifications,” Miller said.

Keesee was named principal of Phoenix campus, the site of the district’s disciplinary alternative education program for secondary students, in June 2007. Her administrative experience also includes five years as an assistant principal at Cleburne Middle School. She has been with the district since 1999, when she was employed as a middle school science teacher and coach.

Mitchell has served as principal at Adams since December 2006, following five years as an assistant principal at Cleburne High School. He came to CISD in 1994 as a special education teacher for Irving Elementary, where he was on faculty for seven years.

Boedeker is completing her third year as assistant principal at Adams Elementary. She began her career with Cleburne ISD in 1996 as a math teacher at Cleburne Middle School.

She served a total of 12 years at the middle school level, the majority of that time teaching seventh grade reading and literature.
