Editor’s note: The information in the following story is taken from public records on file with the Cleburne Police Department.
Two separate wrecks on Saturday resulted in arrests for driving while intoxicated and other charges.
None of the people involved in either wreck suffered injury.
Cleburne police responded to Westhill and Caddo streets at 10:28 p.m. after receiving reports of a reckless driver in a Honda Civic.
The woman driving was traveling northbound on South Main Street, At the intersection of South Main Street and Country Club Road, she allegedly proceeded north instead of turning right onto South Caddo Street and drove over a traffic island, damaging a directional arrow pole in the process.
The woman allegedly continued driving, traveling the wrong way on South Main Street before police located and pulled her over.
Police arrested Jenisha Rochelle Arwine, 20, of Arlington on a charge of DWI and a Kennedale warrant.
A short time later, at 11:53 p.m.,, police responded to the 100 block of McArthur Lane on a hit-and-run accident.
A Cadillac Escalade southbound in the 800 block of North Robinson Street struck the front of a Chevrolet pickup, which was legally parked on the street.
The driver of the Cadillac, Udeilia Reyna Vasquez-Torres, 22, of Cleburne, drove off but was later located by police.
Police arrested Vasquez-Torres on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and DWI with a child passenger in the vehicle because a 4-year-old boy was in the car at the time of the accident.
Police also arrested a passenger in the car, Gloria Alexandrea Jiminez, 17, of Cleburne, on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
A driver involved in a Friday hit-and-run accident suffered no injuries, but received two citations.
The driver of a Chevrolet Corsica is accused of striking a Dodge Ram legally parked on the street while backing out of her driveway.
The woman drove off but returned after police arrived.
Police cited the woman for unsafe backing and leaving the scene of an accident.
A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a Ford pickup on Wednesday. The accident occurred at 9:40 p.m. on South Caddo Street.
The man began crossing the street but turned around after partially crossing and headed back toward the curb, which is when he was struck by the pickup.
Rescue workers transported the man, Abraham Ramirez, 41, of Cleburne to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne.
Ramirez suffered nonincapacitating injuries.
A Texas Health Cleburne spokeswoman said Monday that Ramirez had been released.
Broken windows
Several Cleburne residents awoke to find windows on their vehicles shattered on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Police received two calls on Nov. 24 and nine similar calls on Wednesday.
Ten of the calls involved shattered vehicle windows. Most appear to have been shot with a BB gun.
One call involved a window of a home apparently shot out by a BB gun.
The incidents occurred in two areas of town, said Sgt. Amy Knoll, and remain under investigation.
The incidents occurred on North Douglas, Stroud, North Robinson, Sun Valley, Berry, Browning, Phillips, Euclid, Glenhaven, Shawnee and Davis streets.
Police responded to several similar calls earlier last week, which also remain under investigation.
A thoughtful criminal
Police responded to the 600 block of North Robinson Street on a theft call Sunday.
Someone stole tires and rims off of a vehicle parked at the residence.
The thief replaced the stolen goods with cheaper tires and rims before fleeing the scene.

Rescue workers pull body from water
Alvarado and Cleburne firefighters pulled the body of a man from moving water near County Road 607 caused by rain about 1 p.m. Wednesday. The man attempted to cross a high-water crossing in his truck and became stuck, Cleburne Fire Chief Clint Ishmael said. According to reports, rescue workers saw the man in the water earlier Wednesday morning but were unable to reach him. The identity of the man has not been released.
