Local attorney charged in accident
Cleburne attorney Harry L. Dulick, 55, was released from Johnson County Law Enforcement Center Thursday on $5,000 bail in connection with a July 6 incident in which the 1998 Ford Explorer Dulick was driving struck a Ford pickup truck with trailer driven by Brian Patterson, 40, of Burleson.
A blood sample was taken from Dulick at the scene of the accident, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Dub Gillum. Dulick is charged with intoxication assault. He was arraigned By Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Ronny McBroom Thursday afternoon.
According to Gillum, Dulick was headed south on County Road 2331 toward the Highway 67 intersection at 5:26 p.m. Gillum said Dulick failed to yield at the stop sign and hit the vehicle driven by Patterson, who was traveling west toward Glen Rose.
A third vehicle, a Kia, was also involved in the mishap, Gillum said. The driver of the Kia was not injured. Dulick suffered incapacitating injuries and Patterson two broken legs. Both were transported to area hospitals by CareFlite.
