Johnson County residents may now renew their vehicle registrations at the H-E-B Grocery Store in Cleburne at 600 W. Henderson St., said Scott Porter, Johnson County tax assessor collector.
County residents may renew their registrations seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the store’s customer service counter.
“We are glad to be able to support the community and provide this much needed service,” said Jackie Pinkerton, H-E-B manager.
Registrations may be renewed as long as they are not past the expiration date.
Customers must present their renewal letter from the Texas Department of Transportation and proof of insurance on the vehicle. Customers with expired registrations must renew at one of the county’s tax offices.
Tax office locations are at 2 N. Mill St. in Cleburne, 118 S. Friou St. in Alvarado, and 247 Elk Drive in Burleson.
“City Market in Burleson has offered the same service for years, and the customers who live in the Burleson area really enjoy being able to renew their vehicle registration while they are out grocery shopping,” Porter said. “We are always looking for ways to offer more options and conveniences at the tax office, and we are excited to partner with H-E-B to offer this service in Cleburne.”
