Women assaulted in vehicle
A group of people assaulted two women on Friday, according to Cleburne police reports, pulling one from the vehicle.
The incident occurred about 9 p.m. in the 200 block of West Brown Street.
The women told police that a group of people blocked their vehicle.
One female in the group opened the right rear door and began assaulting one of the females in the vehicle and pulled her out of the vehicle while the suspect female and a man continued to assault her, according to reports.
The man went on to assault the female driver of the vehicle.
Police have made no arrests in the incident. Neither of the women assaulted required medical care, according to reports.
Police arrested a Cleburne woman on Saturday after she provided false information about her identity, according to reports.
The incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of North Main Street.
An officer ran the license plate of Stephanie DeeAnn Connors, 34, of Cleburne, after he saw her get out of a suspected drug dealer’s car in the parking lot of Applebee’s and leave in her own vehicle, according to reports.
The officer initiated a traffic stop after a computer check revealed a Hamilton County warrant in Connors’ name, according to reports.
Connors gave the officer a drivers license that did not belong to her and was later discovered to have lied about her identity, according to reports.
The officer arrested Connors on charges of failure to provide identification, fraudulent use of information and on the Hamilton County warrant.
Theft and damage calls
Police responded to several recent calls involving theft and damage of property.
Police responded to the 1500 block of Raintree Lane Thursday on a criminal mischief call.
An unknown person knocked a homeowner’s brick mailbox over without the owner’s consent, according to reports.
At 8:14 p.m. the same day, someone used a sharp object to puncture two tires of a victim’s vehicle parked in the 2000 block of North Main Street, according to reports.
On Friday, a man in the 100 block of Hillsboro Street reported that someone kicked his vehicle, according to reports.
On Saturday, police responded to the 700 block of Remington Drive on a criminal mischief and theft call. A man reported that someone damaged his Q-Link motorcycle and stole a set of factory tools and an MP3 player off the bike, according to reports.
