A Friday night hand-to-hand transaction between a man and a woman in the 200 block of Country Club Road caught the attention of an alert Cleburne policeman.
Curious as to what was what, the officer investigated further only to discover that the man had just sold the woman methamphetamine.
The woman, Lena Lucille Thornton, 31, of Cleburne, admitted to the transaction and handed the officer the drugs, according to reports.
Thornton was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Also arrested was Jorge Armando Artaega, 32, of Cleburne on a charge of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
A report of a possibly intoxicated driver at 10:29 p.m. Sunday led to the arrest of a Cleburne man on driving while intoxicated and other charges.
Police responded to the area where they witnessed Vicente Baez Ramirez, 33, of Cleburne driving in two lanes near Henderson and Chambers streets, according to reports.
Ramirez initially refused when police attempted a traffic stop then failed to follow commands and physically resisted when he finally did pull over, according to reports. Police also charged Ramirez with resisting arrest and evading arrest with a vehicle.

One Cleburne woman really loves to pump up the volume, apparently. Police responded three times to the 1300 block of Linda Court on Saturday night in reference to numerous complaints of loud music.
On the first visit, police warned Maria Elvira Pogue, 37, to turn it down.
The second call bagged Pogue a citation, the third a trip to the Johnson County Corrections Center on a charge of disorderly conduct, noise.
Church burglary
Someone broke into Resurrection United Methodist Church sometime between Wednesday and Thursday damaging property and stealing goods, according to reports.
Among other items, the burglar made off with basketballs, a TV and a case of Dr Pepper, according to reports.
On Tuesday a landlord reported that a man who had been renting a property he owns in the 1000 block Granbury Street stole a dry-erase board from the residence.
