May 5
6:26 p.m., Anglin and Kilpatrick streets, disturbance call. Michael Steven Tyler Rea, 19, of Joshua, unlawfully carrying a weapon.
7:42 p.m., Dabney and Caddo streets, disturbance call. Jorge Luis Guzman, 38, of Cleburne, failure to show identification.
May 6
8:45 p.m., 1700 block Short Street, police dispatched in reference to a strong smell of marijuana. Elmo Hamilton III, 25, of Cleburne, possession of marijuana.
May 7
12:09 a.m., 200 block Weeks Road. Police dispatched in reference to abusive calls to 911. A man continued to make non-emergency calls to the line after operators provided him a non-emergency phone number to the police station, according to reports. Police found Michael Steven Smith, 51, of Cleburne at home where he was extremely intoxicated, according to reports. Police took Smith into custody on a charge of abusive calls to 911 service.
12:54 a.m., Wal-Mart. Police dispatched in reference to a woman with warrants. The woman fled on foot through the store when she saw police before being detained, according to reports. Estella Olguin Rodriguez, 32, of Cleburne, evading arrest and Johnson County warrants.
3:39 a.m., 1100 1100 block North Nolan River Road, disturbance call. Christopher Thomas Randolph, 18, of Cleburne; Amber Elizabeth Westerman, 19, of Cleburne and Christopher Chad Boone, 18, Cleburne were taken into custody on charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
8:23 a.m., 800 block North Main Street, traffic stop for expired inspection sticker. Richard Scott Purgason, 32, of Rio Vista, Johnson County warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
11:31 a.m., Wal-Mart, theft call. Donna Lynn Whitehead, 44, of Joshua, theft $50-$500.
1:47 p.m., 400 block Poindexter Street, traffic stop for expired inspection sticker. Driver initially gave a fake name, according to reports. A computer check revealed two Cleburne warrants. Searched incident to arrest, police found a bag in the suspect’s pocket believed to contain cocaine. Jose Cardona Jr., 23, of Cleburne, possession of a controlled substance, failure to provide identification and two Cleburne warrants.
May 9
12:38 a.m., 500 block Woodard Avenue, burglary call. Jennifer Lashell Hare, 33, of Cleburne, failure to show identification and warrants.
1:02 a.m., Brazos and Willingham streets, disturbance call. Danny Michael Dill, 28, of Cleburne, public intoxication.
2:56 a.m., Main and Chambers streets, traffic stop. Christopher Marcus Marden, 18, of Deltona, Fla., driving under the influence by a minor.
4:16 a.m., Byron Stewart Park, reported fighting. Gloria Alexandrea Jimenez, 17, of Cleburne and Karina Lira, 20, of Cleburne were taken into custody on charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct fighting. Syrena Marie Sorenson, 19, of Cleburne, consumption of alcohol by a minor.
11:37 a.m., 1300 block North Main Street, suspicious person call. Felix Gonzalez Ramirez, 49, of Cleburne, public intoxication.
11:10 p.m., Texas 171 and Main streets, reckless driver call. Jose Luis Alvarez, 32, of Rio Vista, DWI.
11:41 p.m., 700 block North Main Street, person passed out in a car. Vicente Baeza Ramirez, 33, of Cleburne, public intoxication.
May 11
5:21 p.m., 400 block Ada Street, reported fighting. Ismael Mendoza, 18, of Cleburne and Michael Jay Goff, 17, of Cleburne were taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct fighting.
10:11 p.m., 200 block East Wilson Street, warrant service. Eddie Coronado, 17, of Cleburne, six Cleburne warrants, five Joshua warrants and one Llano County warrant.
May 12
1:35 p.m., 100 block South Ridgeway Drive, reported attempt to cash a fraudulent check. James Brian McCoy, 25, of Keene, forgery of a financial instrument.
6:08 p.m., 700 block Williams Avenue, traffic stop. Elijah Dean Miller, 18, of Cleburne, possession of marijuana, providing a false name and one Johnson County warrant.
May 13
8:50 p.m., 200 block West Westhill Drive, traffic stop. Robert Douglas Rudzavice Jr., 24, of Cleburne, DWI and possession of marijuana.
All the above people taken into custody were transported to the Johnson County Corrections Center unless otherwise noted.

The 2011 Lone Star Chrysler Dodge Jeep Autoplex All-Johnson-County football team has been announced. The team was chosen by the Times-Review sports department based on all-district selections and coaches’ nominations.
The first-team offense included Alvarado quarterback Kenny West and Burleson quarterback Barrett Cain. -

The Cleburne Yellow Jackets beat Burleson, 62-48, on Friday night at Yellow Jacket Gym to move to 2-7 in District 7-A play. Burleson fell to 2-7 in league play with the loss.

Council approves trash truck purchases
